CaloSnap Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how MobileUpp ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the CaloSnap mobile application (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

• Meal photos & nutrition data. When you photograph a meal, the image is processed to estimate calories and macronutrients. Your logged meals and nutrition goals are stored to provide the service.
• Account information. We use Supabase for authentication. Depending on how you sign in (Apple, Google, or anonymous), we may process your user identifier and, if provided, your email address.
• Subscription data. Purchases are managed through RevenueCat and the Apple App Store / Google Play. We receive your subscription and entitlement status, but never your full payment card details.
• Device & usage data. Through Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics we collect app usage events, device model, OS version, and crash diagnostics to improve stability and features.
• Advertising data. We use Google AdMob to show ads. AdMob may collect advertising identifiers and related data as described in Google's policies.
• Push notification tokens. If you enable notifications, we store a push token (via Firebase Cloud Messaging) to deliver reminders and updates.

2. App Tracking Transparency (iOS)

On iOS we request your permission before tracking your activity across other companies' apps and websites for advertising. You can change this anytime in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. If you decline, you will still see ads, but they may be less relevant.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide meal recognition, calorie and macro tracking, and personalized goals.
• To manage your account, subscriptions, and premium entitlements.
• To improve the App, diagnose crashes, and measure feature usage.
• To display advertising and, where permitted, personalize it.
• To send notifications you have opted into.

4. Third-Party Services

We rely on the following processors, each governed by its own privacy policy: Supabase, Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Cloud Messaging), Google AdMob, RevenueCat, and Apple. We do not sell your personal information.

5. Data Retention & Security

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect it. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

6. Your Rights & Account Deletion

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. You can delete your account and associated data at any time — see our Account Deletion page or contact us.

7. Children's Privacy

CaloSnap is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
