Beauty Check ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application ("App").
1.1 Photos
When you use the App to analyze a photo, the image is sent over an encrypted connection to our servers and to an AI provider (see section 4) for analysis. The photo is then stored with its result in your scan history, linked only to an anonymous account, until you delete it — one scan at a time in History, or everything at once with Settings → "Delete my data".
1.2 Analysis Results
If you are signed in (anonymously), your analysis results (the analyzed photo, detection results, confidence scores, region details and the photo check) are stored to provide your scan history. This data is associated with an anonymous user ID and cannot be linked to your real identity.
1.3 Device and Usage Data

1.4 Comparisons and Side Profiles
If you use the Before / After comparison, both photos are sent for analysis in the same way as a single photo. If you add an optional side profile to a scan, it is sent together with the frontal photo. Both photos are stored with the scan in your scan history until you delete it.
1.5 Treatment Journal
Treatments you log in the journal (type, date, notes and an optional photo) and their reminders are stored only on your device. They are never sent to our servers. Reminders are scheduled locally using your device's notification system. Deleting the app, the entry, or using "Delete my data" in Settings removes them.
1.6 Photos Shared Into the App
When you share a photo to Beauty Check from another app, the photo is passed to the App on your device and is only analyzed if you start an analysis.
1.7 Subscription Data
Subscription purchases are processed entirely through Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not collect or store any payment information such as credit card numbers. We only receive confirmation of your subscription status.

The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
Beauty Check processes facial photographs solely to provide an AI-powered aesthetic analysis service. Here is how we handle facial data:
Collection: We collect facial photographs that you voluntarily submit through the App's camera or photo library features. The App does not use ARKit, the TrueDepth camera or any facial recognition (identification) technology, and it never tries to identify who a person is.
On-device face detection: The App uses Google ML Kit face detection, which runs entirely on your device, to find faces in a photo (so you can choose one in a group photo) and to locate facial zones for drawing the result outlines on the photo. The detected face positions and outlines are used only temporarily on your device, are never sent to our servers or to third parties, are not stored, and cannot be used to identify you.
Use: Your facial photograph is sent to our secure servers where AI vision models analyze it to detect potential signs of aesthetic (cosmetic) interventions across six facial regions (forehead/eyebrows, lips, cheeks, nose, eye area, and jawline). The analysis produces confidence scores and textual descriptions only. No biometric data or facial feature maps are generated.
Sharing: Your facial photograph is transmitted via encrypted connection (TLS/SSL) to our AI processing providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google) solely for the purpose of generating the analysis. These providers process images through their APIs under terms that do not allow training on API data; any retention on their side is limited to short-term abuse monitoring. No facial data is sold, rented, or shared with any other third parties for marketing, advertising, or any unrelated purpose.
Storage: The analyzed photograph(s) and the analysis results (confidence scores and region descriptions) are stored in your scan history, associated only with an anonymous user ID that cannot be linked to your real identity.
Retention: Photographs and analysis results are retained until you delete them through the App or delete your account. You may delete individual scans or your entire scan history at any time from within the App.
Your Control: You have full control over your facial data. You can delete all your facial data at any time by deleting your scan history within the App, or by requesting full account and data deletion by contacting us at the email address below.
Your data may be processed on servers located outside your country of residence. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your information to countries that may have different data protection laws than your country.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
